Personal Package Registry

GitLab is the perfect home to host a personal package registry. Unlike other platforms (i.e. GitHub), GitLab allows anonymous access to packages. This means I can very easily install my software on any system in the world.

For example, you can install DJ , a command line tool that plays music files:

$ dotnet tool install -g
$ dj salt peanuts
Now playing 'Salt Peanuts' by 'Dizzy Gillespie'...

Visit my personal registry on GitLab to get started.

I can publish anything I want to GitLab without the worry of “cluttering up” a public registry.

That being said, I do have a NuGet Gallery presence through which I publish more “important” packages.
